Botanical Gardens at Nathanael Greene-Close Memorial Park

Located in the Ozarks Mountains, this beautiful Botanical Center is a work-in-progress; over 110 acres are under development and 24 of the 45 botanical gardens called for in the project’s 20-year master plan are ready for visitors. Botanical Center is situated between the 59-acre Nathanael Greene Park and the 55-acre Close Memorial Park, which share a common entrance.Gardens currently for viewing include: Rose Garden, with 160 roses; Hosta Garden with 400 varieties; Butterfly Garden; Master Gardeners Demonstration Garden; English Garden; Rock Garden and Waterfall, Wildflower Garden, Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden; Lily and Daylily Gardens; and the White Garden – inspired by Vita Sackville-West’s garden at Sissinghurst Castle.
