The Hobbit Garden

“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit.” Designed for fun and a sense of adventure with a touch of other worldliness, hobbits would be at home in this garden. Pathways lined with rare and unusual plants such as dwarf conifers and carnivorous pitcher plants connect a variety of habitats: rock cliffs, pond and bog, alpine, valleys, meadows, fern glades, and pine forest. Although it may seem like you’ve gone a long way, at the end of the two hour walking tour, you’ve actually only walked around a 1 3/4 acre garden. Tours of the Hobbit Garden are by appointment.
