In a small country estate in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, overlooking the Narragansett Bay, there’s a garden with an abundance of plants as well as wild animals – including elephants and bears.Green Animals Topiary Garden, the oldest topiary garden in the United States, displays more than 80 pieces of topiary throughout the seven-acre garden, including animals and birds, geometric figures and ornamental designs, all sculpted from California privet, yew, and English boxwood.
