Western Kentucky Botanical Garden

In 1993, a Master Gardener’s class in Daviess County, Kentucky dreamed of creating a botanical garden. With a donation of 8.5 acres to the City, the dream took root. Today, the Garden includes nine specialty gardens: The Children’s, Rose, Daylily, Iris, Herb, Japanese, Fruit and Berry, Ericaceous and Ornamental Grass gardens. Open daily, Monday – Friday from 9 A.M. – 3 P.M. Upcoming: David Roger’s Big Bugs Exhibit: August – October. A collection of giant garden creatures created using combinations of whole trees found standing or fallen, cut green saplings selectively harvested from the willow family, dry branches, and other forest materials.
