Bailey Arboretum

The 42-acre Arboretum is filled with exotic trees such as the Dwarf Nikko Fir of Japan, the Blue Atlas Cedar of North Africa, and the Dawn Redwood of China. A small area adjacent to a larger pond fosters the growth of giant tulip trees, oaks, and maples, many of which are more than a century old and are native to Long Island. Special garden variety collections include perennials, ground covers for shade, and the sensory garden. [ info ]
