Highstead Arboretum

Features thirty-six acres of woodland, meadow, and wetland, ranging in elevation from 640 feet to almost 800 feet. There’s a self-guided native tree and shrub walk, an extensive collection of laurels, and fourteen species of deciduous azaleas. The timber-frame barn (pictured) houses a lecture room, reference library, herbarium, and propagation greenhouse located on the lower level.Approximately one hour from New York City.
