McCrory Gardens and South Dakota Arboretum
The Gardens contain approximately 20 acres of formal display gardens and about 45 acres of arboretum. Attractions include The Children’s Maze, designed in the traditional hedge manner and styled after the knee high mazes popular during the Renaissance. It contains 1140 feet of hedges maintained at a height of three to six feet.The Centennial Prairie Garden contains a network of paths which border five planting communities that contain plants characteristic of different prairie environments, from the tall grass and short grass prairies to the montane prairie of the Black Hills.
