Blue Spring Heritage Center

Now on the National Register of Historic Places, Blue Spring showcases the history of the Ozark region and the American Indian heritage. There are 33 acres, with over a mile of trails and gardens based on practices of American Indians, such as the Three Sisters Garden. A Medicine Wheel Garden planted in a circular design features healing herbs and native plants and is divided into four sections, starting in the East, then moving through the South, West and North to symbolize the sacred cycles of life, based on spiritual practices of many American Indian nations. Open daily March 15 through mid-November. [ info ]
